Electrical & Power Guidelines

Standard plug-in and battery-powered equipment can generally be used without special electrical work, including POS systems, computers, TVs, monitors, and other small equipment.

Your team can set up equipment that plugs directly into an existing outlet.

When Should I Contact Parasol?

Please check with the Parasol Production Team in advance if you are planning:

• Multiple or high-draw appliances/equipment, such as commercial refrigerators or espresso machines
• Additional or specialty lighting
• Equipment with unusual power requirements. Note all existing outlets are 120V at Parasol.
• Any setup where you are concerned about overloading existing circuits

Send us the equipment specs and proposed locations and we can confirm whether the existing power is sufficient or dedicated power is needed.

What Requires Parasol’s Electrician?

Any work involving the building’s electrical system must be handled through Parasol, including:

• Adding dedicated outlets or power connections
• Hardwiring lighting or fixtures
• Running or extending power to new locations
• Any other modification to the existing electrical system

Third-party electricians or production teams may not perform this work.

Track Lighting

Do not add fixtures or equipment to the existing track lighting. The tracks should be considered at their maximum permitted load. Contact us if additional lighting is needed.

At the End of the Day

• Turn off lights and electrical equipment when not in use
• Shut down heating and cooling when the space is closed
• Do not leave high-draw or temporary equipment running unattended

Electrical damage caused by improper installation or misuse is the client’s responsibility.
