Hanging Items from the Ceiling

Clients may suspend signage, lighting, or display elements from approved ceiling structures. All ceiling installations must be reviewed and approved by the Parasol Production team in advance.

Please note: None of our locations have existing rigging points or dedicated rigging structures. For this reason, heavy suspended installations are generally not recommended and will require additional review.

Where You Cannot Hang Items

Items may not be attached, suspended, or supported from:

  • Tin ceiling at 173 Elizabeth
  • Corrugated metal ceiling at 188 Lafayette
  • Brick vaulted ceiling at 262 Mott
  • Lighting tracks, fixtures, or other lighting structures at any location
Approved Hanging Locations

Depending on the space and installation, hanging may be permitted from:

  • Drywall or concrete ceilings
  • Certain structural ceiling beams, including approved beams at 188 Lafayette

Please send the Production team your installation plan, including the proposed hanging location, method, and approximate weight, for approval before installation.

Installation & Safety

All suspended installations must be securely mounted using appropriate hardware and installed by qualified professionals. Weight loads and rigging methods must be appropriate for the approved structure.

Parasol may require any installation that is unsafe, unapproved, or risks damage to the space to be modified or removed.
