Alcohol

While you are permitted to serve or sell alcohol at your event, all alcohol services must be reviewed and approved in advance by Parasol Projects, regardless of permitting status.

In New York State, a permit issued by the State Liquor Authority (SLA) is generally required if alcohol will be sold or served at an event.

A One-Day (Special Event) Permit allows individuals or organizations that do not hold a permanent liquor license to serve beer, wine, and/or liquor at a private event such as tastings, promotions, gallery openings, or client events. Approval is granted by the NYS Liquor Authority and must be secured prior to the event.

Parasol can assist with submitting the application on your behalf for an administrative fee of $200.

Please be advised that Parasol’s standard liability insurance does not cover claims involving alcohol service. If alcohol will be served, separate event alcohol liability insurance is required.
