Lighting in Your Pop-Up Space

Most Parasol Projects spaces are equipped with a combination of fluorescent lighting and adjustable track lighting.

Fluorescent Lights

• Fluorescent lights are controlled by standard on/off wall switches.
• These lights provide the primary general illumination for the space.

Track Lights

Many spaces also include movable track spotlights that can help highlight products or displays.

• Track lights can be repositioned and dimmed.
• Lights may be adjusted only by a professional installation team.
• If fixtures are moved during your installation, please ensure they are evenly redistributed across the track before checkout, so each track has roughly the same number of lights.
• Each lighting track is designed to support a maximum number of fixtures. Do not add additional lights to the track.

Lighting Modifications

If you wish to modify the color or effect of existing lighting:

• Lighting gels or films may be temporarily attached to fixtures with prior approval from the Parasol Production team.
• All gels or films must be installed safely and removed at the end of the pop-up without leaving residue or damage to the fixtures.

Handling Lighting Equipment

To protect the space and lighting infrastructure:

• Do not hang items from the lighting structure or tracks.
• Improper handling of lighting equipment may result in damage charges, including repair or replacement costs and/or forfeiture of the security deposit.

Installing Additional Lighting

If your pop-up requires additional lighting:

• Hardwired lighting installations must be completed by a Parasol Projects electrician and require review and approval in advance.
• Battery-powered or plug-in lights that are not hardwired may be installed by your team with prior approval from the Parasol Production team.
