❄️ Snow & Sidewalk Responsibility
At Parasol Projects, we take pride in maintaining safe, welcoming storefronts — not just inside the space, but outside as well.
During your reservation dates, sidewalk maintenance is the responsibility of the client.
What This Means
You are responsible for keeping the sidewalk in front of your storefront:
- ❄️ Shoveled after snowfall
- 🧊 Cleared and salted to prevent ice buildup
- 🗑️ Free of trash, debris, and dirt
- 🚶 Fully safe and accessible to pedestrians
This applies seven days a week during your license term, including early mornings before opening.
Tools Provided
To make this easy:
- All spaces are equipped with snow shovels
- Ice melt / salt is provided on-site
If additional salt is needed during heavy storms, please notify our team.
Why It’s Important
NYC property rules require sidewalks to be maintained and safe for public use. Failure to properly clear snow and ice can result in city violations and fines.
More importantly — it reflects on your brand experience. A clean, safe entrance sets the tone before customers even walk inside.
Best Practice
We recommend:
- Monitoring the weather forecast daily during winter
- Clearing snow as soon as possible after snowfall
- Salting proactively to prevent refreezing overnight
- Taking a quick photo after clearing for your records
If you have any questions about winter operations, please reach out to our team at admin@parasolprojects.com.
